The installation and commissioning of warp knitting machines require the factory conditions, supporting facilities, and operators to be in place simultaneously. Checking the ground bearing capacity, factory ceiling height, power and gas supply, and transportation conditions in advance can reduce delays caused by insufficient on-site preparation after the equipment arrives at the factory.
Use clean, level industrial cement floors and reserve installation space according to machine dimensions. When planning, in addition to the space occupied by the main machine, the yarn feeding system, winding device, electrical control cabinet, and operation and maintenance space should also be considered. Simultaneously, plan storage areas for raw materials, warp beams, and finished products to avoid obstructing operating passages or affecting warp beam changes after production begins.
The ground load-bearing capacity requirement is specified as 10 tons per square meter. The conditions of the floor or slab should be confirmed by qualified personnel, taking into account the total weight of the equipment, the load on the support points, and the foundation drawings, especially for projects involving installation on upper floors or renovation of existing factory buildings.
The net height of the factory building should generally not be less than 4.6 meters. When checking the site conditions, the positions of the roof trusses, overhead cranes, lighting fixtures, and pipelines should be checked at the same time to confirm that there is sufficient lifting space when the equipment is installed and the warp shaft is replaced.
Before shipment, obtain the external dimensions, weight, and handling requirements of the largest package, and verify the width and height of the factory gates, the turning points of the passageways, and the unloading area. The route from the unloading point to the installation position of the equipment should be kept unobstructed to avoid temporarily removing doors or adjusting the layout after delivery.
Arrange for at least two to four experienced engineers to participate in the installation. They should have experience in installing mechanical equipment and be familiar with basic mechanical and electrical principles.
A designated person should be responsible for coordinating unloading, handling, positioning, power connection, and debugging on-site. Personnel responsible for subsequent operation and maintenance should also participate in the debugging process, learn how to thread yarn, set parameters, check lubrication, and handle abnormalities, which will facilitate future maintenance and repair.
Prepare a heavy-duty forklift with a load-bearing capacity greater than the total weight of the machine. When selecting a forklift, verify its load center, lifting height, and the total weight of the fully loaded shaft and lifting equipment.
Check that the machine’s wiring and equipment remain in good condition during transport. Pay particular attention to ensuring that wires do not fall or drag along the ground during transport and installation, so as to avoid potential safety hazards.
Within the work area, buttoning them up and avoiding loose sleeves or dragging clothing. Long hair should be tucked into a work cap, and work shoes should have appropriate anti-slip and protective properties suitable for the work environment. In noisy areas, hearing protection equipment should be worn as required by the site.
When handling shafts or rough parts, cut-resistant gloves may be worn as required by the work. Gloves are strictly prohibited when operating near moving parts of the machine or handling rotating components, and contact with moving parts is strictly forbidden. Handling protection and equipment operation should be managed separately to prevent gloves from being caught in the machine.
Before each startup, you should confirm:
There is no debris, oil stains, or standing water in the surrounding area and passageway.
The warp head and warp beam are securely installed, and the locking device is in place.
The yarn path is unobstructed, and the main fasteners are not loose.
The lubrication system oil level is normal, and there are no missing oil filling points.
The protective cover, emergency stop button, and other devices are complete and effective.
There were no tools, parts, or other foreign objects left on the machine.
It is strictly forbidden to dismantle, bypass, or disable safety devices.
Before starting the machine, shout or ring a bell to confirm that all personnel have left the danger zone, and then start it according to the prescribed procedures. The first operation after installation and commissioning should be organized by the person in charge.
