In the field of construction, warp knitted safety enclosure nets have become the preferred protection solution for high-rise buildings, bridge engineering, subway construction and other scenarios due to their advantages of high strength, high permeability and modularity. They are characterized by low cost and convenient transportation. This article will analyze this cutting-edge technology in construction safety protection from four dimensions: application scenarios, material innovation, knitting technology and on-site installation.
Classification And Full-Scene Application Of Warp Knitted Construction Safety Enclosure Nets
There are three types of warp knitted construction safety enclosure nets:
Flat Nets (Class P): flat nets width≥3m, vertical nets width≥1.2m, and dense-mesh nets width ≥1.8m. Installed horizontally to intercept falling objects (mesh size≤8cm).
Vertical Nets (Class L): installed vertically to prevent lateral falls of personnel or objects (mesh size≤8cm).
Dense-Mesh Safety Nets ( Class ML): with a mesh density ≥800 meshes/100cm², they combine dust prevention and fall protection functions.
Main Application Scenarios:
External Protection For High-Rise Buildings: replacing traditional dense-mesh nets to form a dual barrier against falls and object strikes.
Bridge Engineering Enclosure: providing safety protection for high-altitude operations and environmental isolation during suspension bridge and cable-stayed bridge construction.
Subway Deep Foundation Pit Protection: preventing falling objects from entering the work area while ensuring ventilation and light transmission.
Industrial Plant Enclosure: dividing production areas and blocking dust and noise pollution.
Temporary Isolation Facilities: rapidly establishing safety warning zones in urban renewal projects.
The main raw materials are generally HDPE, with some using PET material, plus color masterbatch, UV additives and flame retardants.
The knitting process is simple, with high equipment efficiency, large output, and beautiful and durable fabrics.
knitting specifications:
GB1: 1-0/0-1//
GB2: 1-0/3-4//
High-Rise Buildings: dense-mesh nets should fully cover the external scaffolding, with a flat net added every 4 floors to form three-dimensional protection.
Dense-mesh nets must be fixed to scaffolding with locking buckles(spacing≤0.3m), and edges should be stitched with reinforcing ropes.
Tying rope spacing≤0.75m, rib rope spacing ≤0.3m to ensure uniform force distribution.
Fireproof cloth must be covered during construction to prevent sparks from damaging the net
Any breaks or holes during use must be replaced immediately with traceable records.
